The year 1953 saw the creation of another camp that was numbered 7. The camp was formed by joining the prisons of Elbasan and Durrës. Their prisoners were immediately taken to Tirana as there was a need for constructions there. Therefore, Camp No. 7 was formed in February-March 1953 in tirana, which was used “for the construction of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tirana.” Documents do not clearly specify what this meant, i.e. whether this was a government building or apartments for the officials of this ministry. One hundred forty-seven prisoners worked in this camp.
The camp commander, Yeiz Gjoka, from Gusmar, Tepelena, had previously been a shepherd.
